Topics

The Tetrahedron Workshop is an international conference focusing on 3D meshing technologies and any topics with a strong link with 3D mesh generation in the context of concrete industrial applications. Considered topics are all kinds of surface and volume mesh generation methods (unstructured and structured), high-order mesh generation, parallel mesh generation, adaptive meshing methods, moving mesh methods, and computer-aided design. The conference also focuses on the place of mesh generation in industry. Another of the goals of the Tetrahedron Workshop is to gather both theoretical and practical specialists in the field of meshing technology for numerical simulation in industry.

It is an original international conference in the sense that :
  • presentations are by invitation only
  • there is no parallel session
  • all participants can present a poster
  • the number of participants is limited (80 for that edition)
  • there is no registration fee thanks to the generous sponsors
The previous editions were hosted by the Weierstrass Institute in Berlin in 2005, by INRIA Rocquencourt in Paris in 2007, by the Swansea University in 2010, by Politecnico di Milano in Verbania in 2013, by University of Liège in 2016, and by INRIA in 2019.

Registration for the workshop will be mandatory. Lunch meals and the banquet will be complimentary. Travel expenses, logging and diners are at the participant's own charge.

How to arrive

From the airport: In ~30 minutes, subway Line 9 connects Airport T1 and T2 terminals with "Zona Universitària” subway station.
From Sants Train Station: subway Line 3 (green line) takes you to "Zona Universitària" station.

Accomodation

There are many hotels and restaurants choices in Barcelona. The UPC North Campus is close to the subway station Zona Universitària (Line 3). Accordingly, we recommend participants to stay in Barcelona close to a subway station of Line 3 (green line). L3 Subway

SIAM International Meshing Roundtable Workshop 2024

The SIAM International Meshing Roundtable Workshop 2024 will be held March 5-8, 2024 in Baltimore, MD, USA. It will be co-located with the SIAM Conference on Parallel Processing for Scientific Computing (SIAM PP24).

The SIAM IMR solicits technical papers that present original results on meshing and related technology. We encourage novel theoretical ideas and practical algorithms that may have implications in science and engineering applications requiring space discretization such as geometric modeling, computer graphics, simulation, and visualization.

This call solicits technical papers that present original results. There is also a call for short research notes that describe exploratory research and preliminary results, and there will be future calls for technical posters, and meshing contest submissions.

For more information, please visit the SIAM IMR24 website.
